As the school year draws to a close we have to say good-bye to some of our staff members and welcome to others.

We want to thank the following staff who covered leaves of absence (LTOs) for our permanent staff this year:

Mr. Brent Hewitt taught Grade 2/3 and Kindergarten Planning time, Ms. Denisha Naidoo taught Grade 2 and K2, Mr. Mike Crossley taught with Mrs. Steinbach in 5C, Mrs. Amy Quinn taught Grade 7B, Ms. Tara Ross taught 1C, Mme Danka Pantic taught French and  Ms. Ali Rudd taught Phys. Ed. While they are leaving us, we know that we often hire them back for another job, another year.

We also have a few staff who are leaving to take on a new job elsewhere.

Mr. Steve Sherlock has been promoted to Principal at Bridgeport School; Ms. Sherri Davidson is our new Vice-Principal in September.  Mme Ann Ford is moving to teach French at Cedarbrae School in Waterloo;  Mme Patti Steels will join our French team in September.

Mrs. Jessica Buttars has been an LTO DECE in K1 this year and leaves us to take on new challenges.  Mrs. Natasha Shivritan-Suchit will be joining K1 as the morning extended day DECE this fall.

We wish these wonderful staff members all the best as they leave us, whatever school they end up in will be lucky to get them. We appreciate all they did for students, staff and parents at Silverheights School.
