Dear Silverheights Families,

School council is looking for new faces!

Please come out to our School Council Meetings!

These meetings are a great way to stay informed, ask questions and provide input regarding our school initiatives, upcoming events and future plans. You, as parents and caregivers, can really help to shape the environment our kids are learning in. With additional support, there is so much we can do to enhance the education and environment of our school.

School pride doesn’t begin and end at the doors of the school. Showing our kids how much we are invested in their school experience can have a huge impact.

There are two meeting left this year. Wed. April 26th and Wed. May 24th. All of our meetings are held in the school library from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Babysitting is provided free of charge.  No pre-registration is required. We have three amazing grade 8 students who come out to every meeting and have a great time with our kids in Rm.12, close to the library.

You will find all of our previous meeting minutes and agendas posted on the school website under the School Council bar. You can review them there and send an email with your input that can be shared with council.

Occasionally, we simply need a small committee for one event or another that requires only a short term commitment. All of this will be posted on emails and the school website.

Without your support, so much that can be done won’t be possible.

Hope to see you on Wednesday April 26th @ 6:30

With many thanks from your school council,

Helen Brown

School Council Chairperson
