Silverheights Public School will be celebrating its grade eight graduation on Wednesday June 25th from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in our school gymnasium. The ticker order forms were sent home Monday, June 2.  As in the past, students will be provided four tickets for family members to attend graduation. If you require additional tickets, please indicate that on the form below and we will do our best to accommodate your requests. Additionally, if you require less than four tickets, please indicate that on the form.

Please return the ticket request form to your child’s homeroom teacher by Wednesday June 11, 2014.

Graduation is a positive experience for all and we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. In terms of what to wear, we would ask that our graduates dress sensibly. Clothing typically worn to special occasions is appropriate (e.g., dress pants, shirts with collars, skirts). Tuxedos, formal wear or athletic wear are not considered appropriate.  As well, the renting of limousines is not something we would encourage to happen.

At 9:00 am on Wednesday June 25th, all grade 8 students will participate in a very important rehearsal in our gymnasium.

The formal graduation ceremony will involve the presentation of graduation certificates and awards along with a valedictory address and a video of our graduates.  Following this, we invite parents/guests to join us for refreshments. A graduation dance will be held from 8:15 – 10:00 PM and only graduating students will be permitted to attend.  Parents are asked to pick up their son/daughter promptly at 10:00 pm as there will be no supervision after this time.

We are looking forward to celebrating this very special occasion with you and your child. Feel free to contact the school if you have any questions.

Yours truly,
