Students were dismissed later than usual this afternoon. Due to an incident in the neighbourhood, Police asked us to locate some of our students and hold them for parents to pick up. Given the late timing of the phone call, five minutes before dismissal, we wanted to ensure we did not miss the students and so we asked teachers to hold their classes. When we had the students in the office, we asked teachers to dismiss their classes. Thanks goes out to Police for exercising caution to ensure the well-being of our students. A special thanks to the staff, students, and community of Silverheights for cooperating with our last minute change of routine.
