Dear Silverheights Parents/Guardians

We are very excited to welcome you (back) to another exciting and enriching year at Silverheights. The memories of the challenges of opening last year are fading and we are thrilled to showcase the renovations and addition to our school.

Mr. DaSilva and his crew have worked very hard over the summer to organize, clean and polish the entire facility and it looks fabulous.  Our office staff and school staff have been in preparing their classrooms and work areas to ensure that our school year opens smoothly.

Personally, I am very thankful to be part of Silverheights community for the month of September. I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Moen over the past few years and have tremendous respect for her and for the relationships that she has built with her staff and the Silverheights families. We plan to continue to work with you to provide the best educational opportunities for your children.

Mr. Sherlock, our new vice-principal, brings a wealth of administrative experience. Mr. Sherlock has worked for the past three years as a vice-principal in Kitchener.  He is a very enthused, organized and capable administrator and he is also delighted to be a part of the Silverheights team.

As we begin this school year, we are looking forward to working with you to provide a positive, safe and welcoming learning environment for your children.  We encourage you to communicate with us any questions or concerns that you may have.

The Silverheights staff is looking forward to meeting you as we open this school year or on September 18th when we will host our “ Meet the Teacher Night” from 6:00 to 7:30.  We hope to see you this evening.

Sincerely,

Carole Ann Ogilvie

Acting Principal, Silverheights Public School
