~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are please to inform you that extra Math Assistance is now being offered here at Silverheights to help our Grade 8 students with their transition to high school. This program will be led by two of our Student Teachers from Wilfred Laurier University, Mr. De Visser and Mr. Pisecny. Earlier this year, Mr. De Visser had the opportunity to teach the Grade 8 students mathematics. Mr. Pisecny has been teaching mathematics with the A.C.E (Academic and Career Entrance) program through the city of Toronto for several years.
The program will take place every Tuesday during the second half of First Nutrition break. It will be run under a first-come first-serve basis, with a maximum of 20 students, under supervision of our Grade 8 Math teacher, Mr. Thomson. It will take place in his classroom. Students will have the option of using this time to receive individual help with their homework, or to work on lessons and activities prepared by Mr. De Visser and Mr. Pisecny.
** Please return the letter signed, even if your child is not participating in Math Club.**
Thank you,
