BATTERY BLITZ!

Hawks,

Please bring in your dead batteries to Silverheights and prevent them from going to the landfill! Silverheights is participating in the Battery Blitz.

Students and families can bring in their used batteries to the school to be recycled.  The schools that bring in the most win prizes.  Join us in becoming an Earth Ranger!!

Any small battery under 5kg can be brought in.  Please do not bring in any large car, motorcycle or vehicle battery(s).

Please put a small piece of tape over the top of the battery terminal and bring them into school safely.  Please chat with your child about safe battery handling.  There will be safe battery recycle boxes all over the school for you or your children to deposit the batteries.

We also have a battery recycle box at the Silverheights Neighbourhood Association if that is more convenient for you.

We will collect batteries until March 31st!
