The University of Waterloo’s Science Outreach team are hosting the  PhysiX: Girls Matter event in person on campus on Saturday, November 23rd. This free event encourages physics exploration for female and non-binary students in grades 7 and 8 and will include exciting keynote presentations, a panel Q&A with current undergrad students, and two fun, investigative workshops chosen by the participants. Lunch is provided.

Registration by a parent/guardian is required: https://uwaterloo.ca/science/PhysiX-2024 but parents do not participate in the day’s events.

We are excited to provide another opportunity for your Silverheights PS students to engage in hands-on science, and hope that you will share it with all your Grade 7 and 8 classes.
