September 1st, 2026
Silverhawk Families,
It is with great joy and pleasure that we welcome you and your children back to Silverheights for the 2026/27 school year. Our wonderful custodial staff have worked hard over the summer to ensure our school is in “tip top” shape for your children and for our staff. Whether this is your first child to attend or your fourth child to attend, our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, professional environment for your children to learn in. We would encourage you to continue to communicate with each of the educators that support your children. We work in partnership and our common goal is to maximize student wellbeing and student learning. As an administrator team we are always open to hear from you and your opinions and suggestions matter.
In the near future you will hear from your child’s teachers and know what some of the procedures are for the first day of school on Sept. 8rd 2026. Below are a couple of reminders:
-
We use School Day for almost all communication home – if you do not have your Login information please call the main office on Sept. 8th
-
Families who know who their teachers are, can report to their class lineup at 8:45 on Sept. 8. Teachers will be outside holding/posting signs that identify each class.
-
Families who do not know their child’s class or teacher can report to the soccer field where Staff will support you. We will be wearing our yellow vests.
-
If it is raining, we will direct you to alternate drop off areas at 8:45.
-
Kindergarten drop off and pick up is “hand over hand” – Kindergarten students are never dismissed or accepted without their guardians present. Kindergarten siblings are not allowed to drop off their brother/sister.
-
Parents/Caregivers can pick up their children after the bell at 3:05 at the same lineup.
-
Your child’s safety is very important to us. There is NO parking or student drop off on school property after 8:30 or before 3:20.
-
By law, dogs are not allowed on school property.
-
All families are encouraged to review the Student Handbook located on the Silverhawk Website for our policies and procedures to ensure we create a safe learning environment. There have been specific changes to our 2026/27 year.
We are looking forward to a great start and a fabulous 2026/27 school year. If you have any questions or concerns please continue to communicate with your child’s teachers.
Be well
Mr. Stere and Mrs. Fuller
