October 9th, 2013
As you know in the fall schools are often given new classes when their enrollment warrants it. These new classrooms create new permanent contract jobs for teachers. It is a wonderful, rare opportunity for teachers to be given a permanent contract.
It is with mixed emotions that I tell you that Mrs. Graham was one of those lucky teachers. She has been given a permanent contract job at Rockway School teaching Kindergarten. Her new job starts on October 15th. While I know you join me in wishing her well in her new contract job, I also know that you, her students and our staff will miss her cheery smile and warm personality here at Silverheights. We have not known her long but she has been a wonderful teacher to the ½ class.
We are in the process of finding her replacement and hope that that teacher will be in place by next Tuesday. However, if that is not possible we have arranged for Diane Morais, who was a teacher at Silverheights for the last few years, to come into the Grade ½ class for as long as is needed.
We wish Mrs. Graham all the best in her well-deserved new contract job!
